Brian Eno Encourages Support to Get Together for Palestine Lullaby to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to launch a traditional song from Palestine to the top of the UK charts. The effort hopes to send support to people in Gaza while also spotlighting Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Possibility for Support and an "Chart Upset"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to stand with Palestinians during the holidays. He noted the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“That would be amazing if that came to pass, yes,” he commented. “I’m not gonna be completely disappointed if it doesn’t, festive releases are a category of their own.”

Powerful Theme of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the version of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“The song holds a profound significance for a lot of people,” Barghouti said. “The message is that I would rather die in dignity than exist without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Production History and Star-Studded Lineup

The single was laid down after a large-scale benefit event held in the autumn. Originally intended to be done as a live recording, the piece was shelved during the concert due to time constraints.

The notable list of artists contributing to Lullaby includes a range of acclaimed names from the scene. All were part of the benefit event, which successfully generated a considerable total for humanitarian aid.

Production and Release

Lullaby was brought to life by a group of music creators. The song showcases a fusion of the heritage language with freshly written English words.

The group managing the initiative have clarified that their aim is to generate maximum funds for a specific fund. These donations will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an established charity.

“We haven't set a specific target,” a spokesperson commented. “We aim for as much as possible. Of course, the greater the amount, the better. Every penny goes out to Gaza.”

The reality in the area was noted for its extreme devastation, with a huge proportion of property reportedly in ruins or severely impacted.

“Given that reality, a couple of million is unlikely to make that much difference. But I think the significant factor is primarily raising awareness for this issue and proving there’s another side to the story.”

The track is set to be released at the end of the week. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made ready to watch on a popular streaming site from mid-December.
