Your Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Astrological Sign

This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the community. Starting with the gradual unveiling of newcomers ahead of the title's release, to players forming strong views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? This list is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes Aries much more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed love of treats. Several previous official descriptions note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Just like an captivating, sociable Gemini, it's incredibly easy to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which sounds very like a people-smart Twins.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

Cancer is widely regarded as the most sensitive sign of the zodiac, a intense symbol famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you assume I was going to pick Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the emoji a Maiden sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would likely just make them stress more about others.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad origin: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a show. Being a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re right. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire category fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general intimidating presence is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
